Measures the amount of porphobilinogen (PBG) in a random urine sample, which can indicate porphyria disorders. Elevated levels of PBG suggest acute porphyria, which can cause neurological and abdominal symptoms. Used in the diagnosis and monitoring of acute porphyria attacks.
